Sky News had the privilege of interviewing the Secretary for State on Industry about her views on current Cabinet discussions. On the topic of using military action, the secretary stated, “The optimal approach would be to use military action that would be effective but unnecessarily expensive.” This sentiment was definitely shared by the other Cabinet members as well. Additionally, we asked the secretary her views on the Home Secretary being appointed as the temporary head of state for Britain. She expressed her clear support and added, “He had the most Cabinet power before Ms. Thatcher’s untimely death.” The secretary went on to say, “I personally would not vie to be Prime Minister.”
Most interestingly, we talked to the Secretary for State on Industry regarding her views of the terrorizing IRA. She completely agreed with the overall sentiment that the IRA “are nothing short of terrorists.” Obviously, the work of IRA, including the smuggling of bombs, is absolutely unacceptable and cannot be tolerated. The secretary went on to suggest the wiping out of IRA members to reduce terrorism in the face of the Prime Minister’s death. Agreeing alongside the secretary, we can say that the IRA is undoubtedly immensely detrimental to Ireland politically, socially, and economically.
